Tigran Arzakantsyan Is Not Only Deceiving the State But Also the People: 'Zhoghovurd'
'Zhoghovurd' daily reports: 'The leader of the 'Power of the Motherland' party, Tigran Arzakantsyan, is not only deceiving the state but also the people. In a previous issue, 'Zhoghovurd' reported that he had misled the state by presenting fraudulent documents. It turns out he is also an expert in deceiving people financially, and in many cases, individuals have had to recover money from Arzakantsyan through the courts.
Through an investigation of archives, 'Zhoghovurd' found that in May 2014, the Central and Norq Marash court made a decision to seize an equivalent of 308,375 USD in Armenian dram from Tigran Arzakantsyan in favor of Andrei Sich, of which 204,392 USD was for the loan amount, and 103,983 USD was for penalties calculated due to not returning the loan on time.
According to the court case, a loan agreement was signed between Andrei Sich and Tigran Arzakantsyan in October 2012, whereby Sich lent Arzakantsyan 280,000 USD. The entire amount was to be returned in three installments by January 31, 2013, with an obligation to pay a penalty of 0.15% in case of delay. Until March 2013, Arzakantsyan managed to return only 75,608 USD to his partner in cash and through bank transfers, leaving an outstanding debt of 204,392 USD.
By November 2013, Sich calculated the penalties and demanded an additional obligation of 103,983 USD from Arzakantsyan. Since this requirement, Arzakantsyan, now working in the opposition under Nikol Pashinyan, has taken no further action in court.
It should be noted that although Tigran Arzakantsyan was notified of court hearings, he did not appear.
