King Charles III of Great Britain Makes First Statement After Mother’s Death
King Charles III of Great Britain, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, has made his first statement following the death of his mother.
“The death of my beloved mother, Her Majesty the Queen, is a moment of great sorrow for me and all members of my family. We deeply mourn the loss of our dear monarch and very beloved mother. I know that this loss will be felt throughout the country. During this time of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and supported by the respect and deep affection that the Queen enjoyed,” the new monarch stated.
It is worth noting that Prince Charles has inherited the throne and has taken the name King Charles III. In his first statement, the deceased Queen's son described his mother’s passing as “the greatest moment of sorrow for him and all members of his family.”
