Georgia to Temporarily Close the Ninotsminda Customs Checkpoint at the Armenia Border
Georgia's authorities will close the "Ninotsminda" customs checkpoint at the Armenian border from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on September 9 due to the implementation of a new customs management information system. This was announced on September 8 by the Revenue Service of Georgia's Ministry of Finance.
"We inform you that on September 9, from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, customs control procedures will be suspended at the 'Ninotsminda' customs checkpoint due to the implementation/testing of the new information system and ongoing technical works," the agency stated on its Facebook page.
After the completion of the works, the Ninotsminda customs checkpoint will operate as usual, around the clock. The governments of Georgia and Armenia are in close contact to ensure the unhindered release of goods that may accumulate at the border during this time," the Revenue Service added.
