Drivers Refuse to Pressure Test Gas Cylinders

The newspaper "Jorhar" reports that there are no longer queues at licensed gas cylinder testing stations. Until August 1, there were lines of hundreds of vehicles waiting in front of these stations. The issue is that many drivers are refusing to pressure test their gas cylinders. According to information from licensed gas cylinder testing stations, even drivers who have already registered are now opting out of the pressure tests.

“Drivers simply come to us and say – please give us a slot in the electronic system at the latest possible time so that we can refuel, but we do not want to undergo the pressure test. There are many such drivers, and they are even influencing those who have already completed the pressure test, telling them – go back and get your money. They say, we have paid, but we are refueling instead. There have been cases where they come and demand their money back,” described the situation a director of one of the stations.

It is important to note that based on government decree, starting August 1, vehicles powered by compressed and liquefied gas must undergo inspection of their gas equipment at least once every two years, and gas cylinder systems can only be installed by licensed organizations. It seems that the government is concerned about the safety of its citizens, but it is evident that not all gas stations are requiring drivers to provide proof of their gas cylinder's pressure testing or registration.

One thing is clear: the government has adopted a law but has not considered the mechanisms for its enforcement, similar to the situation with masks, QR codes, and other restrictions – there is zero oversight.
