Belarus Announces Start of Military Exercises at the Border with Poland
The official Minsk has announced the start of military exercises at the border with Poland, a member of the European Union. According to a statement from the Belarusian Ministry of Defense, the exercises will effectively allow for the development of combat (special) operations aimed at liberating territories temporarily occupied by the adversary and restoring control over border regions.
The Belarusian military department does not specify the number of soldiers involved in the exercises, but emphasizes that the military equipment used does not exceed the criteria set by international agreements.
Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko has categorically denied accusations that Belarusian forces are directly participating in the ongoing war in neighboring Ukraine. However, Western intelligence services insist that Belarusian authorities have allowed allied Russia to use its territory to launch attacks on Ukraine.
