When Have Easy Times Existed? Pashinyan Speaks in Vladivostok

We are living in difficult times, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from the podium of the 7th Eastern Economic Forum taking place in Vladivostok, noting that this expression is most frequently used today.

“So when have easy times existed? To be honest, history is a chain of difficult times, which is why humanity has devised a formula that indicates any crisis situation brings new challenges and opens up new opportunities,” said Pashinyan, adding that the leaders of countries around the world today have the task of managing crises effectively and making the most of opportunities.

He mentioned that today is also challenging for our region, with all security-related threats intensifying. Pashinyan emphasized that the attention of the entire world, including Armenia's main strategic partner Russia, is focused on Ukraine, and there are concerns that this may lead to destabilization in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“We hope that through close cooperation with Russia and interaction with our partners, we will be able to manage and keep the situation in our region under control, which is also very important for global security,” said Pashinyan.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is on a working visit to the Russian Federation from September 6-9 to participate in the plenary session of the 7th Eastern Economic Forum. Also present are Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders from other countries. A meeting between the Armenian Prime Minister and the Russian President is planned as part of the forum. This year’s Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok is themed “On the Road to a Multipolar World.”
