Gndevaz-Jermuk Road Now Open

The section of road leading from the M-2 interstate highway to the city of Jermuk is now open in both directions. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

The source had previously informed that an artificial explosion was carried out on the section of the road leading from the M-2 interstate highway to Jermuk, which temporarily closed the road in both directions. The Road Department foundation had announced that as of September 7 at 19:00, the Gndevaz-Jermuk highway (section km0+500) would be temporarily closed. For safety reasons, work was to be conducted involving the blasting of rock fragments and artificial rock falls. A rock fall of 70-80 cubic meters had occurred in the specified section, resulting in the road being closed in both directions.
