COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements in the U.S. to Change: What the Government Proposes
President Joe Biden has announced that COVID-19 vaccinations in the United States will become annual starting this fall. He spoke about the rollout of a new vaccine, noting that the virus continues to mutate, but the vaccines will be updated to target the new variants, according to Voice of America.
“Just like the annual flu vaccine, you should get it between Labor Day and Halloween. It is safe, easy to obtain, and free,” Biden stated in his announcement.
Starting this week, U.S. citizens aged 12 and older will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine once a year at pharmacies and medical institutions.
