Body of Man Found in Lake with Lacerated Wounds
The Tavush regional investigation department of the RA Investigative Committee is taking necessary measures to uncover the murder of a resident of Aragatavan. On September 6, 2022, at 15:00, a report was received by the relevant division of the RA police regarding the discovery of a man's body in a lake located in the Berkaber community.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of Article 155 of the RA Criminal Code. Necessary investigative and procedural actions have been carried out, including an examination of the crime scene. In the mentioned lake, the body of a man was found with lacerated wounds on the left side of the chest, right side of the neck, and on the cheek.
As a result of the measures taken, it has been revealed that the deceased is a resident of Aragatavan born in 1961, who was missing and being sought by the Ijevan division of the RA police. A forensic examination of the body has been commissioned.
In order to ensure a comprehensive, objective, and complete disclosure of the circumstances of the case, an instruction has been given to the investigating authority to conduct operational investigative measures. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
