Zakharova Calls Western Pace of Confrontation with Russia Insane
The stakes of Western countries in the confrontation with Russia are so high that they border on insanity, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by RIA Novosti.
She sarcastically pointed out that Western countries need to decide in which region of the world they intend to conduct provocative actions—either in Eurasia or in Asia.
“Let’s return again to the issue of stakes. Your bets are so crazy that it is already clear a priori that you cannot conduct an information-political, hybrid war on two fronts. But it’s the crisis of liberal total dictatorship; it’s so general that apparently there were no other options,” Zakharova said during her speech at the WEF.
“Now, no one is conducting an offensive against Asia in any form from Russia. The horror of the Asia-Pacific region, starting from the actions of the West in all directions, from the destabilization of the situation around Taiwan to economic and energy sanctions, couldn't even be described if we wanted to,” she added.
