Ukrainian Embassy in London Begins Preparations for Liz Truss's Visit to Kyiv
The Ukrainian Embassy in the United Kingdom has commenced preparations for Liz Truss's visit to Kyiv. This was announced by Vadym Prystayko, Ukraine's ambassador to the UK.
“When she is officially appointed as Prime Minister, I believe there will be an immediate call, and arrangements regarding Liz Truss's visit will come quickly. We have already started preparing for Liz Truss's arrival in Kyiv,” Prystayko's statement was quoted by the Ukrinform agency.
Liz Truss, the leader of the Conservative Party, will be appointed as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on September 6, succeeding Boris Johnson. The politician won a pre-party contest against former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak. The party controlling the government is the Conservatives. Truss has been authorized to form a new government, TASS reported.
