They Will Provoke Enough for Parents to Cause Harm. What Stage is General Makaryan's Case?

The case against Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces Andranik Makaryan, Commander of one of the Ministry of Defense units Arsen Abgaryan, acting commander at that time Sargis Kulakchyan, and head of the unit's replenishment division Ellada Harutyunyan has been transferred from the court of general jurisdiction in Syunik Province to the court of general jurisdiction in Armavir Province. This was reported today to NEWS.am by the mother of a serviceman who went missing during the 44-day war.

She expressed dissatisfaction that court sessions are regularly postponed for various reasons. "They are asleep in the ear of the donkey. The case has been moved to Armavir, but we still do not know specifically where the court session will be held, who the case has been assigned to, or when the session will take place. We submitted a petition for the case to be moved to Armavir, then the session was postponed twice, after which they decided to hold their own session and transferred the case to Armavir. It's been 10 days since the transfer, but haven't they said where the sessions will be? It's already been 2 years with no movement; they will provoke enough this way for the parents to cause harm to Makaryan and take the parents to court," said the mother of the missing serviceman.

The mother also lamented that several high-ranking military officers have been charged and detained for various incidents that occurred during the 44-day war, but Andranik Makaryan has not been detained. "Makaryan is fluttering around for himself..." she remarked.

It is recalled that according to the indictment, General Makaryan, who was responsible for the Kovsakan operational special assignment, upon learning that Arsen Abgaryan's group had been encircled, failed to rush to their aid, gave a retreat order, and returned to Kapan. As a result of all this, 5 of the 40 servicemen from Abgaryan's “Chemists Division” were taken captive, 12 were killed, and the remaining 23 servicemen and the bus driver remain missing.
