Peskov on Pashinyan's Participation in the Eastern Economic Forum
The participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) has been discussed for some time. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, in an interview with TASS.
In response to a question about whether Azerbaijan had been invited, Peskov mentioned, "No. An agreement was reached with the Armenian side quite a while ago that Mr. Pashinyan would attend the forum, especially since our Armenian partners have not been present in the region."
Peskov noted that the members of the already arrived negotiating groups were literally amazed by what they had seen.
It was previously reported that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan would pay a working visit to the Russian Federation from September 6-9. The head of government will participate in the plenary session of the 7th Eastern Economic Forum themed "On the Road to a Multipolar World," which will be attended by President Vladimir Putin and other state leaders. A meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Russia is also planned.
