Key Leaders of Five Major Ministries in the United Kingdom Revealed
Liz Truss, who won the race for the leadership of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom, has assumed the role of Prime Minister and delivered an address to the nation. According to the BBC Russian service, Truss, the third female Prime Minister in the country's history, presented a message that did not differ significantly from similar speeches by her predecessors.
She promised that the new government would transform the United Kingdom into an ambitious country with well-paying jobs, safe streets, and opportunities that every citizen deserves. Liz Truss has also made her first appointments.
According to her cabinet's announcement, Therese Coffey has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of Health. The Foreign Secretary is James Cleverly, who previously served as the Education Secretary. Suella Braverman, the former Attorney General for England and Wales, has been appointed Home Secretary. Former Energy Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng will lead the Treasury. Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has retained his position in the new government.
