Armenian Side Did Not Hinder Azerbaijani Prime Minister's Participation in EAEU Extended Session: Armenian Foreign Ministry
On August 26, an extended meeting of the Prime Ministers of EAEU member states was held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, attended by the heads of government from Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, for the first time, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov attended the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in a guest capacity, even delivering a speech.
In response to a query from 168.am regarding the EAEU meeting held in Cholpon-Ata, the Armenian Foreign Ministry stated that the participation of third states in the extended session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on August 26, 2022, was agreed upon with EAEU member states in accordance with the regulations on the organization and conduct of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting.
“We also inform you that at the request of other EAEU partner states, the Armenian side did not hinder the participation of the Azerbaijani Prime Minister in the extended session as a guest,” noted the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
