You Are Pushed Out from the Backdoor: Khajakyan to Hayk Marutyan

The head of the Yerevan City Council faction "Luyis," David Khajakyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Today, Hayk Marutyan published the announcement of his presentation and referred to Edmon Marukyan with his characteristic stammer: 'Hayko! Your last name is confused with Marukyan's surname because you were trying to transform from 'actor Hayko' to 'Mayor Marutyan'. When Marukyan was an opposition MP, you were waiting at the back door of the power with a wooden 'chick' and a broad smile for your entrance to receive a position. Since 2012, Marukyan has been a political figure and has remained so, while you have changed your workplace since 2018 but not your status. When you identified yourself with the authorities and enjoyed the revolutionary rating, we openly stated how much you were worth as mayor. When, due to the defeat in the war, you were slipping away from your own team and supposedly from a sinking ship, we were again saying the same thing. Therefore, our position and opinion about you have not changed. You opportunistically approached the authorities in 2018, but don’t imagine that you emerged in 2021. You have been pushed out from the backdoor, albeit late."
