Two Employees of Russian Embassy Killed in Kabul Suicide Blast
Two people have been killed and another 11 injured in a suicide bombing carried out by a terrorist near the entrance of the Russian embassy in Kabul today, according to police reports. The armed security guard shot and killed the attacker when he approached the gates.
It has been noted that the victims were employees of the embassy.
Russia is one of the few countries that maintained its embassy in Kabul after the Taliban came to power last year. Although Moscow has not officially recognized the Taliban government, it is engaged in negotiations with their officials regarding agreements for the supply of gasoline and other goods.
