Strong Earthquake in Iran
On September 5, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck southern Iran, according to IRNA. The seismic center of the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Tehran reported that the tremor occurred at 13:44 local time. It was felt in the city of Fin, located in the Bandar Abbas region of Hormozgan Province. There are no reports of casualties or damage.
Iran is situated on major fault lines and experiences earthquakes nearly every day.
