Iranians to Produce Cars in Armenia
The head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization, Alireza Peyman-Pak, met with Armenia's Deputy Minister of Economy, Narek Teryan, to discuss the development of trade relations, alternative routes for the transportation of goods, and the establishment of a joint production line for household and electronic equipment, reports IRNA.
The interlocutors also discussed the launch of a production line of one of Iran's largest car manufacturers. "Considering Armenia's membership in the EAEU, this initiative could yield good results for both countries," quoted IRNA from Peyman-Pak.
It is reported that an Iranian trade delegation will visit Armenia in mid-October, and an Iranian trade center will be opened. The Iranian official stated that the Sisian-Kajaran road project is very important for both countries. This route is part of the North-South program and will reduce travel time significantly.
