Artsakh Reserve Officers' Association Issues Statement
The Artsakh Reserve Officers' Association expresses its deep indignation regarding the detention of Mikael Arzumanyan, who was appointed the commander of the Artsakh Defense Army on October 27, 2020.
It is known that General-Lieutenant Arzumanyan took on the role of army commander during a difficult and challenging period for Artsakh, as he was one of the responsible military commanders. Given his experience and the contribution of his best years to the building of the Artsakh armed forces, we, the reserve officers, call for a reevaluation of the appropriateness of the chosen preventive measure of keeping Mikael Arzumanyan in custody, as well as ensuring an objective and multifaceted preliminary investigation that meets all conditions of legality and justice.
