1.3 Tons of Banned Drugs Seized in Iran

In southeastern Iran, more than 1.3 tons of banned drugs have been seized, according to Mehr news agency.

Brigadier General Ahmad Taheri stated that during the operation, three firearms and a radio set were also confiscated. The police have arrested five smugglers, he noted.

Over the last few decades, Iran has been actively fighting against drug trafficking. During this time, thousands of Iranian servicemen have lost their lives in this battle, the media reports.
