There Is No Other Option: Ruben Vardanyan
We live in complex realities, and not only we, but the entire world is going through a very serious phase of instability. This statement was made by Ruben Vardanyan, the initiator of the 'Future Armenian' movement and co-founder of the 'Aurora' humanitarian initiative.
'To overcome this crisis, there is no need to look for other paths. The safest place to emerge from it or avoid it is our homeland. Our strength lies in living, acting, and succeeding here. There is no other option. I expressed this thought in May during the FUTURE ARMENIAN forum held in Artsakh, and I repeat it now. We have not lost; nothing has ended. People see their future, their children's future in Artsakh, and this is important not only for the people of Artsakh but for all of us, for the entire Armenian nation.'
'I have always said that Artsakh is the pillar of the Armenian world, not because wars have been fought here, but because here, on this land, the Armenian spirit, values, and our unique historical and cultural heritage have been deeply preserved and continue to be preserved, which are crucial parts of our identity. It is from here that we draw our strength. We have achieved success here in the past, and that success must be preserved.'
'Our generation has a historical mission and duty before our ancestors and future generations. We have no right to give up or weaken. We have no right to lose Artsakh, and we have no right to deprive our future generations of their roots of identity.'
'Now, trying to draw lessons from our history, we need to look forward, realizing that the unity of Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora is the powerful force with which we can strengthen our homeland, preserve our identity, and show the world that after falling, we can stand up with dignity.'
'Each of us decides for ourselves whether we are ready to take responsibility and act for better changes not only for ourselves and our loved ones but also for our people,' the statement concludes.
