Zelensky Calls on Russian Forces to Withdraw

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has called on Russian forces to withdraw, stating that the Ukrainian army is reclaiming lost territories. In a video address delivered just hours ago, Zelensky assured that Ukrainian forces are pushing Russian units back to the border.

“If they want to survive, it’s time for the Russian military to flee. Go home. Ukraine is taking back what is rightfully ours,” said the Ukrainian leader.

Yesterday, the announcement was made regarding the launch of a Ukrainian offensive in the southern direction of Kherson. John Kirby, spokesperson for the National Security Council of the United States, noted that the Ukrainian assault has already had an impact, forcing Russian forces to reposition and sending some units stationed in the east to the south of Ukraine.
