Video: Clashes Continue in Baghdad; 30 People Killed

According to the latest reports, clashes between Iraqi security forces and followers of Iraqi Shia cleric and political figure Muqtada al-Sadr in the Green Zone of Baghdad have resulted in 30 fatalities, while another 700 have been wounded, as reported by the Mehr News Agency.

It is noteworthy that on Monday, when Muqtada al-Sadr announced his withdrawal from politics, hundreds of his supporters stormed the Green Zone of Baghdad, which houses government buildings and foreign embassies, surrounding the Republican Palace and entering the building.

The Iraqi military command declared a nationwide curfew on Monday. Despite the nationwide curfew, clashes continue in the capital and several regions of Iraq. The Iraqi Cabinet has closed government offices due to the ongoing curfew, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
