Armenia's Foreign Ministry on Minsk Group Co-chair Countries' Ambassadors Not Visiting Shushi
Armenia highly appreciates the stance of the Ambassadors of France and the United States, who declined the invitation from the Azerbaijani government to visit Shushi. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Vahan Hunanyan, in response to an inquiry from Armenpress.
Question – Recently, a conference was held in Shushi with the participation of diplomats from foreign states accredited in Azerbaijan and representatives of international organizations. What is your comment on this?
Answer – We reaffirm our position on the unacceptability of unilateral visits to Nagorno-Karabakh. We believe that the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh should be involved in international cooperation and support programs. At the same time, we appreciate the stance of those countries that, having a deep understanding of the conflict, have refused to participate in such unilateral actions.
