Minister Pambukhchyan Engaged in Account Settling with Citizen in Surmalu Area: 'Joghvor' Newspaper

RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan has been engaged in account settling with a regular citizen.

'Joghvor' newspaper has learned that Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan, Deputy Minister Artyush Grigoryan, and the Minister's assistant Hayk Stepanyan entered into a question-and-answer session with one of the citizens who had urged to provide water for the rescuers. This was not mediated; they personally conducted the interaction, either using or misusing their official position.

According to information received by 'Joghvor,' on August 15, one citizen stated during a Facebook live stream that the rescuers conducting search and rescue operations at 'Surmalu' needed water, and it would be good to deliver some to the guys. The citizen's comments reached the Minister's assistant, Hayk Stepanyan, known for 'preserving the revolution,' who then went and confronted the citizen that went live.

The response from the 'guard' standing behind Minister Pambukhchyan, particularly on the days of the 'Surmalu' explosion, seemingly did not satisfy the head of the serious structure, and Minister Armen Pambukhchyan personally came to assist his assistant, who was battling the media with eggs.

Pambukhchyan was accompanied by his deputy from Akhalkalaki, Artyush Grigoryan. The two high-ranking state officials attempted to get answers from the man who allegedly cast a shadow on the 'ministry's work' about how he dared to raise the water issue. This information discovered by 'Joghvor' newspaper was fully confirmed by the Minister's press secretary Hayk Kostanyan, who assured that there was no fighting or scuffling during the question-and-answer session. 'They spoke, the issue was smoothed over, and then they moved on,' he noted.
