Ukraine Launches Seven Strikes on Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant Area, Utilizes Iskander Missile
Ukrainian forces have struck the area surrounding the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant seven times, with a retaliatory strike reported by Russia's Ministry of Defense.
The shelling was carried out from Ukrainian military positions located on the opposite bank of the Kakhovka Reservoir, according to a statement from the Russian military.
“In Zaporizhia, the production facilities of the ‘Iskra’ factory were hit, where repairs to air defense and anti-drone radar systems were being conducted. The production buildings of the ‘Migremont’ aviation repair factory, where the restoration of Ukraine's air force aircraft was taking place, were also destroyed,” the ministry’s summary notes.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a direct hit from an Iskander missile on a military echelon resulted in the destruction of over 200 personnel from Ukraine's reserve forces and 10 units of military equipment that were en route to the Donbas conflict zone.
