Search Operations Suspended: Details from the Ministry of Emergency Situations Spokesperson

As you are aware, search operations to locate a missing citizen following the explosion at the "Surmalu" shopping center have taken place in recent days at the suspected site of the explosion, where, according to information, the citizen was likely present. This was reported by Haik Kostanyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, on his Facebook page.

"Thorough search operations have been conducted in the epicenter of the explosion and the surrounding areas, with some sections even being searched twice. Unfortunately, as a result of the search operations, the citizen's body or remains have not been found. I would like to note that within 43 hours after the fire and explosion, rescue services retrieved 26 citizens from the rubble, including 10 alive and 16 deceased. Thus, a decision has been made during an expanded headquarters meeting to suspend the search operations," Kostanyan added.
