Largest Military Aid Package Granted to Ukraine

US President Joe Biden, in his statement on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, emphasized that the US is committed to supporting the Ukrainian people in their fight for sovereignty.

“As part of this commitment, I am proud to announce the transfer of the largest security assistance package to date—approximately $2.98 billion in weapons and equipment will be allocated through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative. This will enable Ukraine to purchase air defense systems, artillery systems and munitions, anti-aircraft systems, and radars to ensure that Ukraine can continue to defend itself in the long term,” Biden's statement reads.
