Anti-Russian Protest in Yerevan: Police Detain Several Participants

Police have detained several participants of an anti-Russian protest at Liberty Square in Yerevan. According to a correspondent from Sputnik Armenia at the scene, activists carrying placards with offensive expressions have been taken to the police station.

Among those detained from Liberty Square are Yuri Alexeyev, the organizer and coordinator of the rally, and activist Oleg Rusakov. Alexeyev had received permission from the Yerevan City Hall to hold the rally and march.

It is currently unclear whether the activists who remain without their organizers will continue the march or disperse.
