228 Days Off: Republicans Accuse Biden of Taking Too Much Vacation
Since taking office in January 2021, U.S. President Joe Biden has taken 228 days off. This information was shared by the Republican National Committee on their Twitter account. It is also presumed that the American leader has been on vacation for 93 days this year. Furthermore, Republicans have criticized the White House leader for such a lengthy absence.
“Biden has been on vacation for most of August while Americans are forced to cancel their summer trips due to historic inflation, high gas prices, and recession,” stated the committee on their website.
The Republican National Committee has urged the U.S. President to “focus on the crises he created.” Earlier, the New York Post (NYP) reported that during his presidency, Biden has taken more time off than any of his predecessors. Specifically, in the 19 months, he spent 150 days at his residence in Delaware.
In comparison, former U.S. President Donald Trump spent 132 days there, Barack Obama 38 days, and George Bush 100 days.
