Turkey Responds to Grain Export Issues

Since the beginning of August, 721,449 tons of grain have been exported from Ukrainian ports within the framework of the food deal. This is reported by the "RIA Novosti" news agency, citing statements from Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

The Turkish Defense Minister stated that the process is continuing and expressed hope that the noted figures would increase in the coming days. "We continue to make efforts to ensure that this process does not stop or slow down under any circumstances, and also to make sure that the grain reaches its recipients as quickly and safely as possible," Akar said.

On July 22, multilateral agreements were signed in Istanbul regarding the lifting of restrictions on the export of Russian-produced food products and Russia's support for the export of Ukrainian grain. The agreement, signed by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the UN, provides for the export of Ukrainian grain, food, and fertilizers from three Black Sea ports, including Odessa.
