Scholz, Biden, Macron, and Johnson Discuss Situation Around Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant
The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, U.S. President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson have called for military restraint near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and organized a prompt visit by IAEA personnel to the facility, reports RIA Novosti.
It is noted that on Sunday, the German Chancellor exchanged views with the leaders of the U.S., France, and the UK regarding the international situation.
"They also discussed the situation created at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine and called for military restraint in its vicinity, as well as the prompt visit by IAEA personnel to the plant," the cabinet statement said.
The state leaders agreed that support for Ukraine will continue. Additionally, the parties discussed the situation in the Middle East, including negotiations around the nuclear agreement with Iran.
