No Serious Violations Found in Amusement Rides Operation, Says Minister of Emergency Situations
No serious violations have been found in the operation of amusement rides as of now. This was stated during an online press conference by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Armen Pambukhchyan.
The minister reported that there are 212 registered amusement rides in the country, out of which 140 have undergone inspections by the technical safety staff of the State Revenue Committee. Some issues have been identified and rectified. Pambukhchyan emphasized that there have been no problems that would hinder the operation of the amusement rides.
At the same time, the minister mentioned that he has instructed the State Revenue Committee to identify all potential issues. A report will be received in the coming days.
Of the 212 amusement rides, the remaining ones have been inspected by licensed private companies from the Ministry of Economy. It was revealed that the amusement ride owners decide whom to approach for inspections.
It is worth noting that during the last government meeting, Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed concern over the condition of the carousels and did not rule out the possibility of a tragic incident.
