Who Are You? Scandal Over Zelensky's Fake Account

The Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has labeled a communication screenshot purportedly involving President Volodymyr Zelensky as fake, following its circulation in the media at the beginning of August.

The Taiwanese Foreign Ministry stated on Saturday, "The latest correspondence with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter is misinformation." The announcement mentioned that a screenshot had previously circulated in foreign media, showing a user with the nickname Zelensky commenting under a post from the Taiwanese Foreign Ministry, condemning the start of large-scale military exercises by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) around the islands.

In the comment, Zelensky wrote, "Taiwan, we stand with you," to which the Foreign Ministry replied, "Who are you?"
