Explosive Device Placed Under Car: Details on the Murder of Russian Political Scientist's Daughter

According to the obtained data, law enforcement officials believe that the assassination attempt on journalist and political scientist Daria Dugina was ordered and premeditated, the Investigative Committee has reported, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.

"It has already been established that an explosive device was placed under the car by the driver, and Daria Dugina, who was driving the car, died on the spot," the department added.

Investigators and specialists from the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee continue to work at the scene. An expert on explosive materials has examined the burned vehicle, which has been moved to a specialized vehicle storage. The recording from the car's DVR has also been seized.
