Outcomes of the Meeting to Be Discussed with Putin: Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that he intends to discuss the results of his negotiations in Lviv with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by RIA Novosti.

"We will assess the outcomes of all our meetings today with Mr. Putin," he stated at a press conference. Additionally, Erdogan expressed Turkey's concern about the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, stating that Ankara does not want a repeat of the Chernobyl tragedy.

He also noted that both the UN and Ukraine believe in resolving the conflict at the negotiating table. The meeting in Lviv saw Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres come together.

During the negotiations, the leaders of Ukraine and Turkey signed an agreement on the restoration of infrastructure damaged during the military conflict in Ukraine, as reported by CNN Türk. The first initiative under consideration is the restoration of a bridge in the village of Romanivka in the Kyiv region, located near Bucha.

Zelensky also mentioned on his Telegram channel that he discussed the grain deal, the situation surrounding the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, and military cooperation issues between the two countries with Erdogan. He termed the Ukrainian president's visit to Turkey as a powerful signal of support and emphasized that the expansion of cooperation between the two countries would strengthen their status.

While conversing with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Zelensky stated that the organization must ensure the safety, demilitarization, and full liberation of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant from Russian troops.
