Khachatur Sukiasyan on the Surmalu Explosion and Accusations Against Him

Member of Parliament and businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan has posted on his Facebook page regarding the explosion that occurred at the Surmalu shopping center on August 14 of this year. He stated that after the incident, defamatory materials surfaced on social media and in some media outlets, alleging that the explosion was organized by MP Khachatur Sukiasyan and his family members.

According to Sukiasyan, some users on social media, as well as fake accounts, launched a targeted campaign against the Sukiasyan family with similar content. He claims this is being done for political purposes, with the specific aim of sowing hatred against the Sukiasyan family and tarnishing their good reputation.

Sukiasyan called the aforementioned information not only an outright lie but also one that contains the characteristics of a manifest crime, as his family is being falsely accused of committing a serious crime. He expects law enforcement agencies to identify and hold accountable those responsible, preventing a recurrence of such disgusting acts against his family or others in the future. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
