Arayik Harutyunyan's Spokesperson on Azerbaijani Journalist's Visit to Artsakh
On August 17, the chief editor of an Azerbaijani media outlet, Eynula Fatullayev, visited Berdzor and Aghavno accompanied by Russian border guards. During the visit, he introduced himself as a representative of an international organization and spoke with the mayor of Aghavno and local Armenians.
Tert.am spoke with Lusine Avanesyan, the press secretary of the President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan, who noted that the authorities of the Artsakh Republic are in contact with the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in Artsakh regarding this matter.
Avanesyan stated, “As already clarified by the Office of the Security Council of Artsakh, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Artsakh Republic has addressed the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in the Republic, requesting to prohibit the entry of representatives of Azerbaijani and other foreign mass media into the area of responsibility of the peacekeeping forces without the consent of the Artsakh Republic's Security Council and the peacekeeping forces. We hope that such provocations will be excluded in the future.”
