VIDEO. Government Members Observe a Moment of Silence in Honor of the Victims of the Explosion

Government members observed a moment of silence to honor the memory of the citizens who lost their lives in the 'Surmalu' explosion.

It is noteworthy that August 17 and 18 have been declared days of mourning in the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh in memory of the victims of the explosion at the 'Surmalu' shopping center.

According to the law on the flag of the Republic of Armenia, the national flag is lowered on officially declared days of mourning or during mourning ceremonies to the middle of the flagpole. A black ribbon is attached to the upper part of the flag, with a length equal to that of the flag itself.

Recall that the explosion at the 'Surmalu' shopping center on August 14 resulted in 16 fatalities. One citizen is still reported missing. A total of 61 people were injured. Four victims continue to receive treatment in various hospitals, with their health condition assessed as satisfactory. The others who were hospitalized have been discharged with positive dynamics in their conditions.
