What is Prohibited on Days of Mourning
As already reported, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision to declare August 17 and 18 as days of mourning.
The two-day mourning period is in memory of the citizens who lost their lives in the explosion at the Surmalu Marketplace in Yerevan.
During these days, all concert programs will be prohibited throughout the republic, and television stations will not broadcast entertainment or satirical shows.
According to the law regarding the national flag of the Republic of Armenia, on days of mourning, the national flag is lowered to half-mast. A black ribbon, the length of which is equal to that of the flag, is attached to the upper part of the flag.
