Owner of Surmalu Trade Center Not Questioned

Over 50 citizens have been questioned in connection with the explosion at the Surmalu Trade Center, however, the owner of the trade center has not been questioned.

This was stated by Vardan Tadevosyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, in an interview with News.am.

Recall that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 357, Part 2 (Violation of fire safety rules or requirements that negligently caused death or other serious consequences) and Article 358, Part 2 (Violation of rules or requirements for the storage, accounting, transportation, delivery, or use of flammable or combustible materials, which negligently caused death or other serious consequences) of the RA Criminal Code in the division for the investigation of serious crimes within the Investigative Committee of Yerevan.

The investigation into the incident at the Surmalu Trade Center is ongoing on a wide scale.
