Putin Discusses Pelosi's Visit to Taiwan

The visit of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan is not merely a journey of a reckless political figure, but rather a brazen manifestation of disrespect towards the sovereignty of nations and a meticulously planned provocation, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“The American adventurism against Taiwan is not just the trip of a reckless political figure, but part of a conscious strategy by the U.S. to destabilize and create chaos in the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, exhibiting a brazen disregard for the sovereignty of nations and its international obligations. In this, we see a meticulously planned provocation,” Putin said in a message to participants and guests at the 10th Moscow International Security Conference.

According to him, the U.S. once again deliberately tried to pour oil on the fire and exacerbate the situation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan on August 2-3 was the first trip to the island by a Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives since 1997, making her the highest-ranking official from the U.S. to visit Taiwan in the last 25 years.
