Emergency Minister Presents Updated Data

As of 18:30, there are 3 missing persons and 16 casualties in the area of the ‘Surmalu’ shopping center. This was reported by Emergency Situations Minister Armen Pambukhchyan.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

For more than 3 days, firefighters, alongside representatives from the Red Cross and volunteers, have been conducting search and rescue operations, risking their own lives.

The fire was contained on August 16 at 14:38 and extinguished at 17:49. Preliminary data indicates that the area for fire extinguishing and rescue operations covers about 1 hectare. A three-story building (approximately 2889 square meters) has collapsed.
