We Will Work All Night, Upcoming Equipment Reinforcement and Shift Change, Says Minister
The Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia, Armen Pambukhchyan, stated in a conversation with journalists that as of 21:00, no citizen has been pulled from the rubble.
Armen Pambukhchyan elaborated that they will continue working throughout the night and that rescuers have adopted a principle of not pausing for a second: “Every second is crucial for us. We will work all night, equipment reinforcement is imminent, and a shift change will take place. We are not short on rescuers. As of 21:00, 22 citizens are considered missing,” he said.
On August 14, at 13:23, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting an explosion at the “Surmalu” shopping center. According to the latest data, 7 people have died, over 60 have been injured, and there are more than two dozen missing.
