Air Quality in the Capital After the Explosion
The Hydro-Meteorological Center has reported on the air quality in the capital from August 14-15.
Due to the explosion at the ‘Surmalu’ shopping center, air pollution primarily affected the Shengavit and Central communities. In the Shengavit community, the concentrations of ground-level ozone, nitrogen, and sulfur dioxide did not exceed the respective permissible concentration limits. However, the concentration of dust exceeded the applicable threshold by 4.2 times, measuring 0.628 mg/m³.
In the Central community, the measured concentrations of ground-level ozone and sulfur dioxide were also within the permissible limits. Dust concentration exceeded the threshold by 1.4 times, measuring 0.215 mg/m³, while nitrogen dioxide concentration exceeded the limit by 1.1 times, measuring 0.043 mg/m³,” the statement noted.
