Health Ministry Denies Reports of 5-Year-Old's Death in Surmalu Explosion

The Health Ministry has denied rumors circulating online that a 5-year-old child has died as a result of an explosion. "This is not true. We urge everyone to follow the official information," the ministry stated in a press release.

Earlier, the ministry reported that an explosion occurred at the Surmalu shopping center. A fire complexity level of "Number 3" has been declared. According to preliminary data, an explosion occurred, igniting a fire; there is one confirmed death and twenty injured. The Health Ministry reports that 26 injured individuals are receiving medical assistance.
