Explosion at Surmalu Shopping Center Leaves 7 Hospitalized
On August 14, at 13:23, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that an explosion had occurred at the Surmalu shopping center.
In an interview with 24News, the director of the Emergency Medical Services, Taghuh Stepanian, stated that at this moment, ambulance services have taken 7 individuals to the hospital. There are people who have transported themselves, and currently, complete information regarding the number of injured cannot be provided.
It is noted that six fire-fighting teams from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Department, an aerial ladder, operational teams from the National Crisis Management Center, special rescue crews from the Rescue Forces Administration, firefighting and rescue organization units, and a psychologist from the Psychological Support Department have been dispatched to the scene due to the complexity of the fire, classified as a 'Level 2' emergency.
