Azerbaijan Won Against Armenia Because They Are Mistaken: Aliyev

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has announced that they need to return to Lachin (Berdzor), Zabukh (Aghavno), and Sus. He stated this in an interview with local television.

"I have already instructed the state committee to establish contact with the residents. We will soon return them to their homes," said the authoritarian leader of Azerbaijan.

He mentioned that Azerbaijan is committed to all obligations undertaken in the November 10, 2020 declaration, which includes the construction of a new road bypassing Lachin (Berdzor) and other measures taken.

"Armenia must understand that prolonging the process will give them nothing. They are mistaken if they believe that anything will change in their favor after a year and a half. Something can change, but in our favor. Everyone sees the geopolitical situation in the region and the world. One does not need to be a great politician to observe this. Azerbaijan, with its growing military, economic, and political power, has won against Armenia because they are mistaken. They have not renounced their 'territorial claims' against Azerbaijan. I have officially warned them to abandon their territorial claims. Otherwise, we could also present territorial claims against Armenia," Aliyev said.
