Why Alternatives Are Being Offered to Berdzor Residents
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that for several days, the evacuation of property belonging to residents of Berdzor and Aghavno villages in the Kashatagh region of Artsakh has been organized at the state level. State agency vehicles have been transporting loads throughout the day. Some families have already moved their belongings, with some relocating to other regions of Artsakh and most to Armenia, but no one has definitively moved yet.
In total, around 100 families, approximately 350 people, are living in three communities, the third being the community of Sus, which was depopulated immediately after the war. According to our sources from Artsakh, preliminary data show that only 10-15 percent of the residents of these communities have expressed a desire to settle in Artsakh.
There is no longer any doubt in Artsakh that Prime Minister Pashinyan is planning a systematic depopulation of the region; otherwise, those being evacuated would be re-settled in Artsakh and would not be given the option to choose between Armenia and Artsakh. In this situation, people prefer to move to Armenia, believing that Stepanakert and other towns in Artsakh will also be depopulated due to Pashinyan's treacherous decisions.
Initially, it was reported that homes were being renovated in Hin Shen for the residents of Aghavno, but at some point, the plan changed. For more details, refer to today’s edition of the newspaper.
